This time I will review one of the death metal bands that I
think is worthy to be called as one of the living death metal band legends that
exist in the kudus city, not without cause if I give an assessment &
coincidence of the first band was born I also follow the development until This
second.
The spirit of this band are two brothers or more precisely
brothers, namely anto sanjaya a.k.a Mbah Yo & his brother hendra saputra
a.k.a Tuweg, uninstall pairs of players also they are natural but thanks to the
consistency they are able to stand up to this moment.
A little discography from them was in 1997 issued a demo
with the title "consideration", then continued in 2000 they issued
another demo with the title of "detrimental expectancy", in 2002 they
issued a full length "no end of possibility", while in 2004 They
follow the "detriment image" compilation & finally in 2014 they
issued an EP titled "omnipotent pyramid poem".
Their latest formation currently is anto sanjaya (guitar),
hendra saputra (bass), alifian agus (vocal) & seno ramadhan (drums), now
their formation is practically solid with the entry of a new player that is
very good capacity even as we All know that their new drummer a few months ago
was recommended to be the drummer for the top metal band Dead Squad & had
jamming several times with the Dead Squad retainer.
For my light chat this time with CEMETERY will be
represented by their guitarist as well as front man of the band, that is anto
sanjaya a.k.a Mbah Yo
Hello how are you, to start our chat this
time can explain again when CEMETERY standing ?
Hello im fine & healthy always, for the CEMETERY itself stood more or less in 1997
I personally follow the CEMETERY of some songs in the
demo "consideration" & I think it is the natural version of CEMETERY, is there any desire to re-release
the demo ?
Actually the demo "consideration" we have
re-release by making a bonus track in our EP titled "Omnipotent Pyramid Poem" but
in cassette version released by stillborn sound
Now the development of underground music increasingly
rampant with thousands of bands that grow every day in Indonesia, do you think
whether this will have a negative or positive impact ?
I think it's very positive, it's different when our age
began to appear in the world underground, positive here in the sense that now
many people are interested to enjoy underground in music & to underground
in my own movement less know also whether they also follow it, Great in
contributing to the rapid development of underground music in various aspects,
such as what is said by guitarist band BloodBath "modern metal is More
About software, gear & youtube", so it can be said underground
movement has started to disappear because of all the instant and follow the
industry. So we must be smart to be able to balance
Several times CEMETERY unload pairs of personnel, does
it affect your musicality ?
Is definitely an effect on our musicality, each new
player has different skills & characters from the previous one, but overall
we have no problem while our vocalist becomes the guardian of any CEMETERY
concept
According to current issues you are preparing material
for the next album, can you explain ?
In essence the obligation of us is work & of course
we will display our work in a physical release, not only work then just
finished
When this line up CEMETERY changed again with the entry
of a new drummer, is there a change in the matter of tempo or rhythm music ?
There is no change in the matter of tempo or rhythm
that we serve, we still walk according to our rule, if the problem let the
later audiences who will give assessment hhehehehee
Is there a message for the underground music lovers or
underground musicians who are in the kudus city ?
Work in music, physical release, work in music,
physical release, then work in music again & then release again physically,
maybe so should hhahahahaa
So in essence never to stop in loving what you believe in
whatever it is, my chat this time parse about a passion to be proud of in
underground world, coincidence I am more interested to review bands that have
underground spirit because coincidence also my passion. Until meet again with
the writings of my review and chat with the out of the box musicians in the
kudus city
